The Queensland Seafood Industry Association (QSIA) has welcomed deployment of the RAN minesweeper HMAS Yarra to search for lost shipping containers off Cape Moreton.
"Recruitment of the Navy into the search for the containers was something we suggested early on and so we're naturally very pleased to see the Yarra arriving off Moreton Island to help," Mr Green said today.

Queensland fishing industry spokesman Neil Green said today he was "horrified" by the environmental damage and hazards to fishing boats caused by 31 shipping containers lost off Moreton Island.
"The environmental damage in and around Moreton Bay Marine Park is out number one worry but these containers also pose a serious hazard to trawlers working in the area," Mr Green said.

Fishermen have called on Cairns diners to support restaurants serving local seafood.
"Far North Queensland has some of the best seafood in the world," fishermen's spokesman Neil Green said today. "Why would you want to eat seafood that had come from anywhere else?"
