There are 4 options for membership of the Queensland Seafood Industry Association (QSIA). Membership includes commercial fishermen, retailers, restaurateurs, wholesalers, marketers and processors, and associate and corporate members as well as supporters of the Queensland seafood industry. As a member, you also receive representation on key nationwide issues such as fuel rebate policy, tax reform, national marine parks policy and Commonwealth environmental accreditation of fisheries. In addition QSIA can provide assistance on a range of other issues affecting the seafood industry including occupational health and safety, share fishing agreements, taxation, marine safety and transport issues, and many more. QSIA provides regular information and advice on issues of importance to the seafood industry and individual members, including changes to legislation affecting the industry, research and development outcomes, food safety and quality assurance, changing market trends, environmental management and industrial matters. QSIA has comprehensive policy development process which ensures that all members have the opportunity to have a say in the policies developed and promoted by the Association.
